Consul Linehan to speak on Vito after film!
We are delighted to announce that Consul General Patrick J. Linehan from The U.S. Consulate General,Osaka-Kobe has accepted our invitation to attend the festival and participate in a talk following the 6:15 showing of the documentary Vito on September 15 (Sat.)!
Consul Linehan married his male partner Emerson Kanegusuke in Canada in 2007 and has often spoken to the media as a representative of LGBT interests.He has also extended to the festival a powerful message of support.

Ms. Matsushita, who has written on queer films from Southeast Asia in her book In the Forest of Asian Films: a Cinematic Map of the New Century and who, as director and curator of Sintok Singapore Film Festival Tokyo, has brought many LGBT films before the public, will ask Consul Linehan about his reaction to the film and about life in America during the time of Vito Russo.
