Makoto Hibino(Representative from the Kansai Queer Film Festival)

Don’t make a place for just gays and MtFs, as always. Screen films for transgender audiences.
Run the festival based on feminist principles, and don't create minorities within minorities.
These are the thoughts we’ve tried to keep in mind while planning the Kansai Queer Film Festival.
Recently, the Kansai Queer Film Festival has been aiming at increasing the visibility of racism and ethnic discrimination in Japan.
Though there are many overseas films which depict both racism and sexuality, why haven’t these kinds of films been made or screened in Japan?
It takes so much time to accomplish a goal. But the most important thing is to persevere.
The Kansai Queer Film Festival is encouraging the 21st TILGFF this year too.
