We got a message from Kou Usaki!

We’d like to share with you the encouraging message to our event from Kou Usaki, who has the comic book signing and exhibition of the reproductions at Spiral Hall (Spiral 3F)!

※See the news release about the signing and exhibition.

Congratulations on the opening of the 26th Rainbow Reel Tokyo.

I think that the human beings have developed and prospered from past memories, experiences, and knowledge through  books, pictures and films.  They have learned kindness and found new values, creating a world that suits them with what they have learned along the way. The world becomes a bit more kind for us through this film festival.

That’s what I believe.

Kou Usaki

Kou Usaki is a comic artist. With his nostalgic girlish comic style, he made his debut in 2015 in “Rutile”, a boy’s love comic magazine.
It was a good chance for him to come out as gay.

He was for a long time an assistant for Shou Arai, a comic essayist (“Seibetsu ga, Nai!”, 15 total volumes, published by Bunkasha & others) and appeared in his essays as “Kou-kun, the assistant”, much loved by the readers for his pretty looks and lighthearted speech.
