We are pleased to announce the release date for advance tickets and all screenings for the 25th Tokyo Rainbow Reel.

A total of thirteen films will be shown throughout the ten-day festival, to be held from July 9 to July 18, delivering select films from around the world with themes centering on sexual minorities.
We have procured many fine films specially featured at other film festivals such as Berlin, Toronto, and Sundance; of particular note is the full-length award-winning ”From After” (to be seen for the first time in Japan), honored with the Gold Lion award in Venice.

We are also proud to present retrospectively two of Gregg Araki’s most famous films to mark our 25th anniversary.

“QUEER×ASIA: APQFFA Best Selections” will include recommended short films from film festivals across Asia, introducing a number of emerging talents.

Advance tickets can be purchased starting at 10:00 AM Friday, June 10 through Ticket Pia. You can purchase tickets either per viewing, as ticket books ( good for 4 films), or a “Spiral Pass” (availability limited to 100), which allows you to view as many screenings as you like.
