The story takes place in America; 1967.
Angela Arden, once a highly acclaimed singer, is caught between the ruins of her
relationship with her movie producer husband and a continuing affair with the
handsome actor, Tony. Lance, her darling son, has been booted from college for
“associating” too well with the professors and she just can't get along with her
provocative daddy's girl of a daughter. After dreaming one night of running away
with Tony, she is inspired to scheme the death of her husband - by suppository.
What does fate hold in store for her!? Charles Busch, heralded by the New
York Times as one of the most popular performers in the New York theater world,
takes the lead as Angela. Also stars the acclaimed Philip Baker Hall, Jason Priestly
of Beverly Hills 90210 fame, and Natasha Lyonne from But I'm a Cheerleader. With
the sixties setting and hilarious, over-the-edge performances, the dark comedy
Die Mommy, Die kicks off this year's film festival. Start your summer with a campy
masterpiece! |
