The 12th Tokyo International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival:
Closing Message from the Director | This
year's Tokyo International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival came to a successful conclusion.
In the five days of the festival, more than 5,000 participants enjoyed the variety
of films we presented under this year's theme of "Happy Life." We are proud
that we were able to provide this year's attendees with the opportunity to enjoy
the festival from a variety of different angles. In addition to a fine line up
of films, this year's festival also included discussions and "teach-ins" with
guests from both Japan and abroad, club events, and other activities. If these
events served to inspire attendees to think about what a gHappy Life" for sexual
minorities might be, we could not be more pleased. I would like to take
this opportunity to once again express our gratitude to the sponsors, embassies,
organizations, volunteers, and attendees that made this year's festival possible.
Many thanks to you all. MIYAZAWA Hideki Director The 12th Annual
Tokyo International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival (updated August 17, 2003)
