●Purchasing Tickets on the Day of Screening

Q:I would like to watch a film on July 13th. Do I have to wait until the day of the screening to purchase tickets?

A:We will start to sell tickets for all films on July 5th, the first day of the film festival. You can pre-purchase any tickets starting from that date.

Q:I would like to watch a film on July 15th, but I want to purchase a ticket on that date at the theater. Do you think the tickets will be sold out?

A:All tickets will be available for purchase from July 5th. We will sell tickets until they run out. Thank you for your understanding.

●Single Tickets

Q:I purchased advance tickets with a designated date and time. How can I watch the film?

A:Please follow these 3 steps:

①Please come to the theater on the day of screening.
②We will open the hall 15 minutes before each screening, so please come to the lobby 15 minutes before the film.
③Attendees will enter the hall according to the entry number printed on each ticket. All seats are non-reserved.

●Four-Screening Passes

Q:A group of 4 of us would like to watch a film using a four-screening Pass. Is it possible to exchange the pass for single tickets on the day of screening?

A:Yes. However, please be aware that the single tickets you can exchange your four-screening pass for are the same as the ones we will sell from July 5th. You may be not able to exchange them if the single tickets run out before the date.

Q:Do I have to exchange a four-screening pass for 4 single tickets at once?

A:You do not have to exchange the pass for 4 single tickets at once. You can exchange them at different times. However, please be aware that the single tickets you can exchange your four-screening pass for are the same as the ones we will sell from July 5th. You may be not able to exchange them if the single tickets run out before the date.

Q:I exchanged a four-screening pass for 4 single tickets. How can I watch the film(s)?

A:Please follow these 3 steps:

①Please come to the theater on the day of screening.

●Festival Pass Exchange Tickets

Q:I purchased a festival pass exchange ticket. How can I watch a film?

A:Please follow these 4 steps:

①Please come to the theater during the festival.
②You may exchange your festival pass exchange ticket for a festival pass at reception.
③Please come to the lobby 15 minutes before the film you wish to watch.
④Please show your festival pass to our staff to enter the hall. All seats are non-reserved.

<Additional information>
・You can use your festival pass as many times as you wish.
・Each person is required to have a festival pass.
・Those who have a festival pass will be permitted to enter the theater hall first. The pass does not have an entry number printed on it.
・You may not be able to enter the theater hall after the screening starts, even if you have a festival pass.

●Refund Policy

Q:What is your refund policy?

A:We will issue refunds to those individuals who have a “Physical Disability Certificate”, a “Notebook of Love”, a “Nursing Notebook”, a “Mental Health Patient Information Welfare Notebook” or a “Hibakusha Notebook” (limited to one person), as well as students or people over the age of 60.
Please show us your ID at reception and we will refund you 200 yen for a single ticket or festival pass. The festival pass is limited to one refund. You may ask us for a refund even after watching a film.

●For visitors using wheelchairs

Q:Can I watch films while using a wheelchair?

A:Yes. Please contact us through the phone number on your ticket by your mobile phone upon your arrival. Our staff will come to the entrance and bring you to your seat.

●About taking photos at the venue

Q:Can I lake photos at the venue of the film festival?

A:Photography is not prohibited in the foyer and lobby. However, please refrain from taking photos without permission from the people photographed and uploading the photos on the Internet (including Facebook, twitter and other SNS) without permission. The rules on taking videos are the same as those on photography.
Also, in a hall during a screening, please refrain from taking photos, both video and audio recording, eating, drinking and smoking.

●About screenings

Q:I would like to see non-English language films. Are they shown with English subtitles?

A:All the films screened at the Tokyo International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival are available in both Japanese and English.

All non-Japanese language films are shown with Japanese subtitles and English subtitles are provided with all non-English language films.

●To the press

As this film festival focuses on the theme of sexuality, we need your cooperation for the protection of the audiences privacy.

Please understand that any use of cameras and video recorders are prohibited unless you obtain a permission and press armband from us after signing a privacy policy statement.

If you plan to cover the film festival or interview our guest at the film festival, please contact us beforehand.
