We are pleased to announce the release date for advance tickets and all screenings for the 26th Rainbow Reel Tokyo.

We are happy to announce the movies to be screened at the 26th Rainbow Reel Tokyo!

A total of thirteen films will be shown throughout the ten-day festival, to be held from July 8th to July 17th, delivering selected films from around the world with themes centering on sexual minorities.

For the featured foreign films, we have carefully selected much talked about gems from foreign film festivals in the genres of drama and documentary.
“Below Her Mouth” has been praised as “the boldest and sexiest film of the year” at Toronto International Film Festival, and “Fathers,” a moving family drama about a gay couple raising an adopted orphan, was nominated for many Thai film awards.

New talents in the Asia-Pacific region including Japan are also drawing attention.
Actress Chizuru Azuma planned, produced, and casted the documentary “I am what I am. – Over the Rainbow –.”
Another work, “QUEER×APAC ~APQFFA Selection 2017~,” is a selection of six short movies recommended by members of APQFAA (Asia Pacific Queer Film Festival Alliance), which was founded to support and promote LGBT films.
