Special guests for the event after the screening of “You Are The Sea”!
On July 17th, after the screening of “You Are The Sea”, we will welcome special guests at the event; Tomoko Takahashi (the director), Tsukino Yamamoto and Miyu Wagawa (actresses) and Masamichi Yoshihiro (a writer for movies)!
The day of screening is a national holiday, “Marine Day”, in Japan – what a coincidence! DO not miss this special event!
Q&A event with Samantha Lee, the director of “Maybe Tomorrow”
It is our honor to announce you that we will welcome Samantha Lee, the director of “Maybe Tomorrow” at a Q&A event after the screening on both July 16th and July 17th!
Please do not miss this great chance to talk with the director!!
Special event after screening of “I am what I am. ~Over the Rainbow~
“I am what I am. ~Over the Rainbow~ will be screened from 18:25 PM on July 16th.
There will be a special event after the screening, and we will welcome Chizuru Azuma, the producer of the film, and Genki Masada, the director!
Please enjoy the film with this wonderful event.

Contact details for inquiries about tickets
The 26th Rainbow Reel Tokyo has begun and many customers visit us every day. We have gotten a lot of inquiries about tickets and as such would like to provide the following notice.
For more information, please contact us via our official page or ticket information at: 070-1456-2300 (7pm-9pm weekday, 1pm-6pm weekends, public holidays, and during the event)
*We kindly ask you refrain from directly inquiring to event places.
Regarding ticket information, our staff does not constantly monitor the site, therefore if you cannot connect, please try again a little while later.
We begin preparations at 11am during the event but we may be unable to answer when the reception is busy. Please take this into consideration as we thank you for your cooperation.
For questions regarding ticket purchases and exchanges, please kindly refer to our website which provides further information.
On a final note, we would like to provide further information about the most common inquiry: tickets purchased at spiral hall.
◆All advance tickets are sold out; however tickets are available at the walk-in price for movies in spiral hall from 7pm on July 14 at the reception on the third floor. We are starting exchange tickets for 4-screenings passes and spiral passes.
◆For 4-scrrenings passes, we exchange from available door ticket stock. Therefore we apologize if we cannot prepare tickets for movies you prefer.
◆In the case of sold-out showings we will issue standby tickets. These are numbered tickets for redeeming a seat in the case of a ticket holder being unable to attend. However these tickets can not guarantee a seat. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Bourbonne and Masamichi Yoshihiro will be hosting Rainbow Reel Competition and the closing event!
Bourbonne, a drag queen/writer, will be a presenter at Rainbow Reel Competition and our closing event on July 17th!
We will also have Masamichi Yoshihiro, as a special guest, who is a writer for movies and publishes serially in some magazines.
You will love the sharp, light-hearted talks by these two people full of love for good films.
The closing film at Spiral Hall, “Being 17” will also be shown at 19:40 on July 17(Mon). It is a youthful love story written in collaboration with Céline Sciamma, who also directed one of the films shown at our 20th film festival, “Tomboy”.
Selected for the Berlin International Film Festival’s competition in 2016, the film was inspired by Arthur Rimbaud’s poem and reminds the audience of their sweet first love.

Information about the opening event in Spiral Hall
We will welcome Esmralda, who is a drag queen/writer/scriptwriter, as a presenter at the opening event in Spiral Hall on July 14th, Friday!
As a special guest at the event, Gengoroh Tagame will be joining! He is a cartoonist and gay erotic artist, and well known as being awarded the Excellence Award in Manga Division at Japan Media Arts Festival recently.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all at the opening event!
