Since 1992 films with sexual minorities such as LGBTQ etc. as the theme have been selected domestically and from overseas and continuously screened every year at the Rainbow Reel Tokyo – Tokyo International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival.
In 2020 we unfortunately postponed our festival to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infections. However, in 2021 we are holding the festival at two venues, Cinemart Shinjuku and Cinemart Shinsaibashi, for 14 days from Friday, July 16th to Thursday, July 29th!
It’s actually been 21 years since the festival was last held in the Kansai area, which was our 9th festival in 2000.
